JDM 86 with Volk, Recaro, Stradale performance parts

Posted

While browsing the internet for clean JDM cars, we came across this privately owned 86 that has been upgraded with some amazing parts already. Considering the new factor of this car, it’s quite amazing how many are modified.

This particular 86 has been tuned up with street looks and track functionality in mind. The 18×9 +45 Volk Racing / Rays Engineering G25 wheels look great on the car with just a bit of concavity and thing spoke design. It is equipped with a bunch of parts for company Stradale, such as the coilover suspension, front strut bar, and titanium intake suction piping.

Some people say that the titanium intake piping is a bit overkill, but who cares? It looks awesome and is definitely a unique part. The boxer engine has only a couple bolt-on upgrades so far, but with a car like this, you don’t need to focus on the engine so much. It’s more about the joy of driving and great steering feel with awesome handling — the power is adequate enough to get you around, but it’s certainly not a drag racer (and it shouldn’t be!).

The interior has been upgraded with some ASM edition Recaro RS-G Ruby bucket seats, Stradale e-brake cover and shift boot, and TRD door stabilizers.

Beautifully finished coilovers by Stradale.

Looking forward to more JDM / JDM style 86s to surface, and hopefully our FR-S build can compete with such clean builds like this.
