The Infiniti G-series is Infiniti's entry-level performance/luxury car. It was produced from 1990-1996, was then re-launched in 1998 again, and has remained in production to this very day. FM stands for front midship, which is essentially a car with the engine in the front, but moved a bit backwards into the center of the vehicle, away from the front axle. This gives a better front/rear weight distribution, improving handling greatly.

The G35, the third iteration of the G-series was first introduced in 2001. The car came with the well-recognized VQ35DE engine. An engine known for reliability and durability, but an engine that was no stranger to performance mods, and responded well to them. Already seeing service in the 350Z and the Maxima, the engine had proven itself more than enough. The G35 took it that extra step further, with better interior and gadgets than the others. The car came with 5-speed automatic or the excellent 6-speed manual, which many enthusiasts opted for. The car really is a great platform to enhance and upgrade, already offering lots of out-of-the-box performance.
