Corey’s Rocket Bunny Scion FR-S

Posted

After many months of sourcing and building up, we were ecstatic to see these pictures sent from our customer Corey of his Vortech supercharged and Rocket Bunny kitted Scion FR-S. The car came together nicely and it’s a super clean result that is already winning shows left and right in the Chicago area. His FR-S has such a mean look to it with the exposed dry carbon roof replacement and other blacked out pieces like the head lights and Enkei wheels providing a great contrast on the Whiteout paint.

We’ve been working with Corey since early December 2012 to make his FR-S unique to his taste and style. After seeing the Scion FR-S Rocket Bunny kit by famed aero designer / producer Kei Miura, Corey knew he had to have this wide-body kit that was seen on many top notch builds at the 2012 SEMA Show. However, you can’t just have a wide-body kit and call it a day – you need to fill those large wheel arches with some wide wheels! We went with the Enkei RP03 Wheel in limited edition matte black color with sizes 19×10″ +22 all around. Since this wheel only comes in 5×114.3, we also set him up with 5×100 > 5×114.3 bolt pattern adaptor kits from Project Kics.

No need to worry – the car can back up the aggressive looks with its Vortech supercharger kit installed on the boxer 4 cylinder engine. There are countless other upgrades you can see under the vented Seibon carbon fiber hood such as a Cusco front strut bar, Cusco engine bay brace, Cusco throttle controller and more.

Up front you’ll notice the APR Carbon Fiber Front Air Ducts that feed air in to keep his brakes nice and cool. APR makes some great, functional aero pieces for the FR-S such as a full air diffuser lip kit and carbon fiber side mirrors. His roof has been replaced with a super lightweight dry carbon roof from Seibon – a rare piece to see on any car!

The interior is also given attention with a rear seat delete replaced with carbon fiber panels, a bolt in Agency Power harness bar, and a Sparco L575 steering wheel.

We are looking forward to the next evolution of Corey’s FR-S with a possible full air suspension setup from KSport and a new wheel setup.
